WHY WE EXIST
Greenwashing is rampant. Vague claims go unchallenged. Certificates say what a business told the auditor. Labels say what a marketing team decided you'd like to hear. The supply chain behind a product is the one part of the story a buyer is never allowed to see. We think that's backwards, and we built a tool to end it.
THE NAME IS THE METHOD.
T is time. X is longitude. Y is latitude. Z is elevation. A checkpoint scan records all four, plus the person who stood there and did it. That's the whole product. When someone scans a T/X/Y/and/Z QR code on a shelf, they're not reading a brand story. They're reading a chain of moments: this place, this time, this person, and the one before it, back to the start.
A HUMAN DID THE SCAN.
That's what separates us from everything else on the label. Self-reported claims mean nobody checked. Blockchain systems lock the record but never verified what went into it. Algorithmic certificates mean a computer decided you were fine. A T/X/Y/and/Z checkpoint means a person went to a physical place and scanned. The record can't be changed after. Not by the maker. Not by us.
WHY WE BUILT IT.
The people who make real things kept losing to the people who make better claims. A grower with a genuine origin story had no way to prove it at the shelf, and the pretenders knew it. Provenance tools existed, but they were built for corporations with compliance departments, priced for corporations, and sold to corporations. So we built proof a small producer can hold. If you can do a Facebook post, you can set up a supply chain. Scan your checkpoints, put the QR code on your product, and your story stops being a claim.
WHAT WE CAN'T DO YET.
We can't verify everything. We can't tell you what happened between two checkpoints, only what happened at them. We can't stop someone lying to a scanner's face, though GPS, timestamps, and an unchangeable record make a lie expensive to maintain. What we can do is exactly what we say: prove that a person was at a place at a time, and keep that proof beyond anyone's reach to edit. A transparency company should be able to say this out loud. Most won't.
YOUR DATA IS YOURS.
The scan data is yours. The chain record is yours. The compliance documents that fall out of it are yours. Nobody, including us, can change a record after a scan, and if you want 100% of your data out of the database, that's your right and the mechanism exists. We're not building a data business on your back. We're selling a tool.
WHO WE ARE.
T/X/Y/and/Z is built in Sydney by a small team, founded by Jimmy Stewart. We launched in July 2026 with makers and growers: the coffee roasters, leather workers, distillers, and farmers who were already doing everything right and just needed a way to show it.
