FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is T/X/Y/AND/Z?
T/X/Y/AND/Z is a provenance tool for small businesses. It records a product's supply chain as a series of checkpoints, each scanned by a person and marked with who, where and when. Every product gets its own unique ID and QR code that customers can scan to see the product's journey on a public page.
How does T/X/Y/AND/Z work?
As you make, pack or move a product, you scan a checkpoint at each step. Each scan records the person, the place and the time, and the record can't be changed afterwards. Not by you, not by us. Your customer scans the product's QR code and sees the journey on a public page, with no account or sign-up.
What does "Proof of Maker" mean?
Proof of Maker is T/X/Y/AND/Z's name for verifiable evidence of how a product was made: a record of who made it, where and when, captured at every step by the people who were actually there. Anyone can claim a product is handmade, sustainable or ethically sourced. A scanned, unchangeable record turns the claim into proof.
Can customers view the product journey without an account?
Yes. The customer scans the product's QR code with their phone camera and a public page opens with the product's journey. No gate, no sign-up.
Can T/X/Y/AND/Z stop someone copying my product?
No, and nobody else can either. What it changes is what your customer can compare. A copy has a photo. Yours has a verifiable record of its making: who stood there, where and when. The record is yours; it's the part of your work that can't be copied.
How much does T/X/Y/AND/Z cost?
It's free to start, no card needed. The Small Business plan is AU$5 a month when you need more.
Does every product get its own unique ID?
Yes. Each product chain has its own unique ID and QR code, not a batch number. If you produce in batches, every piece still gets its own chain and its own record.
Can a supply chain record be changed after it's captured?
No. Once a checkpoint is scanned, the record can't be changed. Not by you, not by us. The scan data is yours. The chain record is yours. Nobody, including us, can change it.
Does T/X/Y/AND/Z help with EUDR compliance?
Your checkpoints record where and when. EUDR asks for both.
